About Our Special:

Assistant Pastor Jimmie and Evangelist Ida Carpenter are members of Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson, IL where Elder Andrew D. Singleton Jr is the Senior Pastor.

Pastor Jimmie Carpenter was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He is a retired Command Sgt Major of the U.S. Army and retired from AT&T. Asst. Pastor Carpenter earned a Master of Arts in Urban Ministries and a Master’s in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

Assistant Pastor Carpenter is over the Visitation Ministry. He participates with the Board of Deacons, Altar, Prayer and Baptism, Prayer Connection, Ministerial Alliance, Men of Valor, Christian Education, and Military Care Ministries.

Evangelist Ida Carpenter was born in Birmingham, AL, and raised in Compton, CA. She is retired from Brookwood School District 167 in Glenwood, IL where she volunteered before and after employment.

Evangelist Ida Carpenter currently serves with the Board of Deacons, Visitation Team, Ministerial Alliance, Prayer Connection, and Christian Education Ministries at Victory.

Pastor and Evangelist Carpenter met in Frankfurt, West Germany at United Gospel Fellowship. After a courtship in Germany, they came back to the states where they married. The Lord has blessed them with a son, daughter, daughter-in-love, and two granddaughters.
